I am a certified Reading Specialist, and I have earned an Advanced Certificate in English as a Second Language. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to teach. I feel blessed to be able to serve as an elementary teacher. I love teaching children to read. I would love to make your child’s reading experience enjoyable and I will meet them on their “good fit” reading level.
I use Saxon Phonics to teach my students along with a guided reading approach. When I work with your child, we will work on phonemic awareness, phonics, phoneme segmentation and blending. Students will use comprehension connections to understand what they are reading. If your child is struggling with reading, it would be an honor to work with them and develop their reading strategies to become a life long reader.
