I am a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School and have recruited and interviewed prospective students for Yale. Needless to say, I mastered the skills necessary to excel on the standardized exams necessary to attend these institutions. I developed study practices and exam taking methods to ensure I always scored at a superior level.
Let me share my preparation tactics with you. In addition to preparing you for standardized exams, I can assist you with writing essays for your ACT, SAT, LSAT and college applications. My experience recruiting and interviewing students for Yale taught me to recognize the traits necessary to stand out in a sea of other comparable candidates. As important as the exam preparation is, I realize that the emotional and psychological effects on the students must also be addressed. My goal is to be a source of support to my students during an understandably stressful period.
I have tutored high school students who attended prestigious private academies and tutored elementary and junior high students at an after-school program based in a community center on a voluntary basis. I adjust my tutoring methods to meet the needs of each student. I draw on my broad ranging experiences to relate to students respectfully, clearly and compassionately. I fondly recall the many people who assisted me in my journey from a small town in Arkansas. In deference to these people, in special circumstances, I am willing to adjust my rate to ensure that deserving students can access my services.
