My name is Monique and I am from the North Dallas area. I graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, Texas and then went on to graduate from the prestigious Baylor University. It wasn't until I went off to college that I really learned the meaning of "studying". I was able to come up with unique and creative ways for me to learn all sorts of information. I learned that one of the best ways to learn information was not to just memorize it but to understand it.
I graduated from Baylor University in 4 years which is almost unheard of with a B.A in Communications, film, digital media and journalism. I have worked for the school paper, yearbook and for the English department. My expertise is history, English, reading, spelling, grammar and writing. Following graduation, i immediately started working in the education system. After working 4 years for the Baylor Admissions Department i went on to work and tutor at Richland College in English/writing/grammar. I have a very upbeat personality and love watching that light bulb turn on when a student learns something. I do recognize that each person has a different learning style and I like to spend my first sessions getting to know the child I am tutoring to gain a better understanding of there learning style. I look forward to meeting with you! :)
