I began tutoring during my time as a TCU undergraduate for both general chemistry and organic chemistry. Tutoring my peers helped secure the fundamentals of the disciplines, as well as providing me with teaching experience. I learned to recognize the types of questions that students often had, and how to best address them. I found tutoring to be a rewarding experience, as I was able to play a role in the success of others. Though I have since graduated from TCU with a degree in Biochemistry, I still hope to continue tutoring others before I attend graduate school in the Fall, as I enjoy helping others learn how to understand new theories or solve challenging problems.
I specialize in tutoring organic chemistry (both first and second semesters and lab courses). I tutor general chemistry and biochemistry, as well. Since chemistry concepts are often so abstract, my tutoring style emphasizes the importance of problem-solving. There is no better way to master the material than with practice, which creates a high level of knowledge and understanding of the material. Additionally, through my time as an undergraduate, I have compiled resources that I have used to help students such as difficult problem sets and many notes and handouts. I hope to not only help the student master the material, but to also appreciate its complexity and intricacies, naturally steering them toward success.
I am very flexible with times, and am happy to travel and meet at a location of your choice.
