I have always had a passion for teaching and learning. From a working class background I graduated with honors from Harvard University where I lettered in three sports, football, wrestling and lacrosse. I graduated with honors from Boston College Law School and through the years have taught writing and public speaking. Being the father of nine children, three of whom have graduated from college, I have an in depth knowledge of what is required to assist a student to be successful. I have a thorough knowledge of history, government, literature and economics. My style is to learn the student’s strengths and weaknesses and to constantly encourage the student in the progress he or she will make. I do not believe that one approach works for all students and I assist each student in an individualized plan that fits each student’s learning style. I am a firm believer that any student can be successful if given the right strategy and motivation.
