I have a B.S. in pharmacy from the University of Montana and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Washington. I spent most of my academic career at the University of Utah where I taught organic chemistry, biochemisty and nutrition to pharmacy and graduate students in addition to holding several administrative positions.
Although I am now retired, during my academic career I received numerous teaching awards and was named university professor for my efforts in this area. I have been told that I can explain difficult concepts well, and in so doing I try to frame answers to questions in more than one way, until the light goes on and the student understands.
