Howdy! My name is Nivyan and I am currently a nuclear engineering major, minoring in chemistry and math at Texas A&M University. I was a Chemistry Teacher's Aid and a part of my school's peer-to-peer work-study program. My teacher approached me for the position and I really enjoyed it. Every now and then I help my friends with courses such as Physics, Math, Chemistry, etc. They are usually impressed at how natural I am in helping them understand. These three courses are my main concentration. I have always been a technical type of guy. Critical thinking and problem solving are two of my strong points. I particularly enjoyed CHEM 102 at the college level. As far as my methods are concerned, I usually explain the formula in question. I also simplify in words what the question asks, making the problem easier to understand and therefore, solve. Another important detail used to effectively solve a problem is to write everything that is known, like constants as well as variables. Using these methods, one can see the bigger picture and therefore have an 'Aha!' moment. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help, I'll be looking forward to work with you!
Thanks and Gig 'Em!
