Greetings!
My name is Sundal, pronounced sun-dull. I hail from Miami, go to school in Washington, DC and live permanently in Carrollton, TX! I'm a student at The George Washington University, majoring in public health. Before I go into the details, a bit about moi! I love to read and write, I can speak Spanish proficiently, I am a middle child, and I love the outdoors! I'm finishing up my first year at GWU and it's been an awesome experience attending school a few blocks away from the White House!
Over my 18 years, I've had a wonderful experience tutoring children and helping them exceed their own expectations.
I have 4 years of experience in tutoring children from the ages of 5 to 15, in a diverse subject set ranging from English to history to grammar. I am also proficient in Spanish, due to my 4-year experience in tutoring for Bea's Kids, a local non-profit organization that is geared toward preventing the vicious effects of poverty on education.
Through my experience as a tutor, I have cultivated a specific method of tutoring that will help the student learn more through personal application and discovery, rather than copying my answers and mechanisms. My style of tutoring will encourage the student to develop his or her own personal studying style, suited towards his or her own academic needs. While studying over the summer can seem daunting, I assure you that I can make it fun and interesting!
