I've taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades for eighteen and a half years. I'm experienced in self-contained, team teaching, and departmentalized classrooms. I've taught math, science, reading, language arts, writing, and social studies. I have taught regular, ESL, bilingual, gifted and talented, and special education students.

Study Skills

I have shown students many different ways to study subjects such as math, spelling, and science. I teach them to use mnemonic devices, associations, rhyming words/phrases/sentences, and flash cards. I find that mnemonic devices and rhyming schemes help students a lot.

I am certified to teach hearing impaired students from grades prek-12 and Elementary Speech Communication from grades 1-8.
