I was born in and raised in Nagoya, Japan. I came to the US in 1999.
I was a teacher's assistant in Japanese class (both beginning and intermediate classes) for 3 years in college. I also worked as an intern at Japanese cultural center where I operated tours of the museum and taught visitors about Japanese culture and language. I taught couple of my friends Japanese in my free time.
I have a degree in International Studies and I love getting know about different cultures and find the similarities and/or differences with Japanese culture.
I love watching sports especially football and baseball, and love playing volleyball and softball. I also enjoy watching many TV shows such as Law and Order series, Criminal Minds, New Girl and Shameless.
I am also into The Hunger Games series!
My teaching style would be teaching through what you like to do or you are interested in. I learned English by listening my favorite music and understanding the lyrics as well as by reading books.
