Hello prospective young minds! I hope to impart all the knowledge I can about the written word unto you! My degree in English Journalism has given me extensive knowledge of grammar and literature. I have been published numerous times in newspapers and have even won awards for my work while in college.

In respect to my tutoring philosophy, while sentence and paragraph structure are two of the most important components of writing, I find it just as crucial to express yourself in your writing. Writing should never be a scary or overwhelming experience no matter how long the assignment or how dense the material. I will find a way to make the written word fun to read and, of course, to write, through my tutoring methods.

In respect to other qualifications, I have almost completed my Master's in Political Science, with a concentration in Political Philosophy and International Relations. I have played basketball and have participated in track all my life and would thoroughly enjoy teaching others how to be the best they can be in these two sports, of which I have much admiration and love for.

I believe I have an affinity for getting along with many different types of people, and enjoy making people's lives a little happier each day. Hopefully, you will let me help guide you toward your goals and aspirations!

Reading is the most important of skills, no matter the subject field of job area. As an invaluable skill, it is an area of tuturing that I do not take lightly. No matter the reading level, your abilities will be improved after in-depth and focused sessions of tutoring.

Writing

I have a love for writing that pours over into my teaching methods when tutoring in this subject. Writing is more than a craft or a means to an end, it is a vessel for expression that cannot be ignored.

Track & Field

I have participated in track and field throughout high school and college. I have won 4 track and field national championships, and have expertise in all sprint runs as well (100, 200, and sprint relays).

Basketball

I played basketball for Bradley University from 2007 to 2008, played AAU basketball, and am acquainted with a range of positions on the court. I am 6'8 and can teach any position, aside from PG.

Social Studies

Having a BA in political science, in which I also have an extensive and necessary knowledge of sociology and social movements of the past, present, and today, I believe that social studies would be an excellent subject for me to tutor young and willing minds!
