I’m a very strong believer that EVERYONE is capable of earning “A” grades, we only differ in the amount of effort and motivation needed to excel
at that level!
I first began tutoring my classmates as an undergraduate chemistry
major. Following completion of my second MS degree and throughout my career as a scientist, I worked in both paid and volunteer tutoring positions. Today, as I complete doctoral-level studies in health informatics, I continue to enjoy working with students at all educational levels!
At the undergraduate level, I work with students majoring in premed, biological sciences, chemistry, pre-nursing
, and pre-engineering. I also tutor professional students studying medicine, dentistry
, pharmacy, and other allied health professional students like physicians assistant students. Having excelled in standardized exams such as the subject tests for the GRE
and the MCAT
, I also maintain expertise in standardized test preparation
including exams required for entrance into medical school (MCAT), pharmacy school (PCAT), and nursing school (HESI, TEAS
Unique to my style of tutoring middle and high school students is the fact that I use college level texts and information for our lessons. I do this to both expose these students to work at higher levels and to motivate them to succeed in ways they never imagined! As a result, my track record for helping my students improve and succeed is remarkable with all of my current students being “A” students! This is a testimony to both to the student's willingness to work very hard and my ability to motivate and support them in their success! So, if you’re ready and willing to work hard in the sciences and need to develop that extra edge to excel, then I’m the tutor for you!
I'm available to tutor in Houston and the surrounding areas on Tuesdays/Thursdays between 9-7, and in College Station the other days of the week with flexible days/times.
