I’m a very strong believer that EVERYONE is capable of earning “A” grades, we only differ in the amount of effort and motivation needed to excel at that level!

I first began tutoring my classmates as an undergraduate chemistry major. Following completion of my second MS degree and throughout my career as a scientist, I worked in both paid and volunteer tutoring positions. Today, as I complete doctoral-level studies in health informatics, I continue to enjoy working with students at all educational levels!

At the undergraduate level, I work with students majoring in premed, biological sciences, chemistry, pre-nursing, and pre-engineering. I also tutor professional students studying medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other allied health professional students like physicians assistant students. Having excelled in standardized exams such as the subject tests for the GRE and the MCAT, I also maintain expertise in standardized test preparation including exams required for entrance into medical school (MCAT), pharmacy school (PCAT), and nursing school (HESI, TEAS).

Unique to my style of tutoring middle and high school students is the fact that I use college level texts and information for our lessons. I do this to both expose these students to work at higher levels and to motivate them to succeed in ways they never imagined! As a result, my track record for helping my students improve and succeed is remarkable with all of my current students being “A” students! This is a testimony to both to the student's willingness to work very hard and my ability to motivate and support them in their success!

So, if you’re ready and willing to work hard in the sciences and need to develop that extra edge to excel, then I’m the tutor for you!

It's unfortunate that this student has changed this comment from a very positive one to this negative one, as well as changing numerous "5" star ratings to "1" star ratings, after I declined to work with her any further and charged a cancellation fee following a 3rd, last minute change. My students are committed to their studies, and also appreciate the sacrifices their parents make to ensure their success. Students should be far more committed to their studies than what I experienced here for the first time in a 20 year tutoring career.

I have long term students who earn straight "A's" not just because they work with me, but because they're committed to their studies. Students who don't make excuses for their failures, who feel privileged to have access to higher education as opposed to feeling entitled to it, and that are committed/willing to work hard, will always succeed irrespective of who their tutors are.

I accommodated multiple schedule changes to add this potential client to my schedule. However, I always accept legitimate explanations such as illness, accidents, etc. as reasons to make last minute cancellations with no charge.
