My name is Dawn. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling from DBU. I have good training and experience with course work related to Psychology and Social Sciences. Additionally, I home-schoooled my own children for 8 years and have excellent experience with Phonics and elementary education. I find that learning a student's particular learning style is important to their ability to retain & recall information. I will individualize your student's study plan to meet their individual needs.
As a former home-school mom, my strengths were in Phonics and elementary math concepts. I am willing to do group classes for multiple families as well. My primary curriculum used when tutoring Phonics concepts is called Sing Spell Read & Write. I would ask ask each family to provide their own student workbooks and materials.
As far as psychology and social sciences are concerned, I can help with a broad variety of psychological concepts including nature/nurture, psychological theorists and their specialties (Freud- Psychoanalytical psychology; Carl Rogers- Person Centered Psychology, etc.)
