I graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School, class of 2008, where I took many Advanced Placement classes that they offered. I recently graduated from the University of Houston with the highest honor, summa cum laude. My major was in biology with a minor in chemistry and mathematics. At the university, I researched with a neuroscience professor for over two and a half years. My name will appear on three different scientific papers.
At the university, I tutored my fellow classmates in Organic Chemistry at the same time I was taking the class. I made all A’s in all my chemistry, physics, and biology lectures.

I have a year off before I start medical school; I am in the process of doing interviews.

I graduated with a BS in Biology. I have taken all kinds of biology. I am applying to medical schools for 2013.

I took AP tests for Statistics and Calculus in high school. I also took many math courses for my minor: Calculus I, II, and III, Linear Algebra, Bio-Statistics, Statistics for Engineers, and Engineering Mathematics. I made all A's in all of them.

I also took the AP test for general chemistry in high school, as well as many chemistry classes at UH. I made all A's in all the lectures including Organic Chemistry I and II.

Additionally, I took AP classes in physics at Sterling High School. I took calculus based physics at UH as well and received A's.

Algebra 1

I have a math minor from University of Houston. I took algebra I in high school and received an A. My math GPA at UH was 4.0. I have taken engineering level mathematics.

Algebra 2

I have a math minor from University of Houston. I took algebra II in high school and received an A. My math GPA at UH was 4.0. I have taken engineering level mathematics.

Biology

I graduated University of Houston with BS in biology. My overall GPA was 3.8. I have been exposed to many biological fields. I have researched with a neuroscience professor regarding Alzheimer's disease, Epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury. From basic to master's degree level, I have been exposed to biology at all these levels.

Chemistry

I took Pre-AP and AP chemistry in high school and received A's in both. I have a chemistry minor from UH and graduated with a 3.7 GPA in chemistry (overall GPA was 3.8).

Geometry

In high school I received an A in geometry. I have a math minor from University of Houston with a 4.0 GPA in math.

Prealgebra

I did very well in high school in all my math classes. That is exactly why I studied mathematics at my university.

Genetics

I have taken Genetics class at University of Houston and received an A. I have also gotten an A in Genetics Lab. I am familiar with PCR, Mendelian Genetics, Punnet Square, process of gene transfer from parent to offspring, transposable elements, DNA repair mechanisms, understanding pedigree and much more.

Practical experiences are with western blot, primary and secondary anti-bodies binding process.

Organic Chemistry

I have taken Organic Chemistry I and II at University of Houston and received A's in both lectures. I have also taken the corresponding labs for each lecture. I have a minor in chemistry with a 3.8 GPA. During the time of the lectures, I tutored my fellow classmates in understanding the synthesis and mechanisms of many reactions. I still have my own personal notes that I took as I was studying for the finals and for American Chemical Society exam. I received an 88% in the ACS examination.
