I graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake, class of 2014, with a Master of Arts in Criminology. I conducted a thesis to complete my degree, so I am familiar with APA formatting and research. I also took statistics (both the research methods and math sections) along with the criminology courses (Race & Crime, Serial Murder, Culture of Law Enforcement, Prevention and Control of Crime, Criminal Law, Law & Society, Advanced Juvenile Delinquency, Advanced Criminology, Future of Criminal Justice). My Advanced Juvenile Delinquency Class required we write a mock Request for Proposal (Grant Proposal), so I am semi-expereinced in that area.

I graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School, Class of 2008, where I took almost all of the Advanced Placement classes they offered. From there I attended and graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Class of 2012, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I was initially in the College of Engineering, so I have had my fare share of math classes. All four years that I attended the University of Michigan, I also played Division 1 Varsity Water Polo; I am very good at managing time, and I can help others manage their time among homework, studying, and miscellaneous activities.

My mathematical education: In 8th grade I took Pre-AP Algebra 1 and in high school I took Pre-AP Geometry, Pre-AP Algebra 2, Pre-AP Pre Calculus, AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics and in College I took Calculus 1 and Calculus 2.

My English education: In high school I took Pre-AP Freshman and Sophomore English and AP Junior and Senior English and Basic College English.

My Psychology education: I did not take in high school education classes, but as it was my major in college I have taken plenty of Psychology classes. I have taken Intro to Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychological Research Methods, Positive Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Talking Minds - Psycholinguistics, Psychology of Language, Science Perception and Reality. I also took two classes, Criminology and Sociological Perspective of Crime, which were sociology classes cross-listed with psychology.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Swimming

I took swimming lessons every summer for about five years, swam on Junior Varsity swim team my freshman year in high school and the Varsity team my remaining three years, and was on the summer swim league team for four years. I also played on the Varsity water polo team in high school for four years, and played Division one varsity water polo for four years in college, as well as 10 years on various club teams, year round.
