"I will persist until I succeed" - Og Mandino
This is my approach to all of my students. I am persistent and I will go the extra mile for those who are willing and able to obtain higher comprehension from the subject in which they are struggling.
I provide personalized Math Tutoring and Homework Help to students of all ages.
I tutor basic and advanced math subjects. I have more than 8 years of experience teaching children after school from Pre-K to college level mathematics. I tutored for the Sanger Learning & Career Center, University of Texas at Austin's tutoring center, for over a year. After proving my proficiency, I began tutoring Undergraduate students in one-on-one sessions and in group sessions. The subjects I tutored included basic and advanced Algebra, Pre-Calculus / Trigonometry, and Calculus I & II, working around 15-25 hours per week during the school semester. I corresponded with the head staff and co-veteran tutors weekly for updates and news on how to better teach my students and engage them in the real value of what they are learning and to develop an interest in the subject tutored. Besides my insight on note-taking methods, making study sheets, memorization techniques, and short-cuts to speed-up and enhance my student’s learning curve for all types of learners, I understand that motivation and immediate feedback is required to increase student's stamina when encountering difficult topics.
As a result of being a veteran tutor, I possess high skills in relating to younger and older students and have an ability to simplify the concepts into understandable and applicable terms. Math is such an important tool and serves more purpose than within the scope of the classroom. Making math simple is crucial and my vision is to make math easy and enjoyable.
I am patient and professional with one goal in mind, my students' success. Besides being highly specialized in core subjects like Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus, I also pride myself in giving my students nothing but the best learning experience possible.
