A little about myself...
I graduated in 2001 from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Management, with a certificate of achievement in Accounting. During my time at Georgia Tech, I was a Teacher's Assistant in Management Accounting, as well as a member of the varsity Swimming and Diving program. My experience with children includes youth swim coaching and instruction.
Upon completion of my studies at Georgia Tech, I enrolled in the MPA program (Master of Professional Accountancy) at the University of Texas - Austin. I completed this degree in 2002 and moved on to a professional career.
Over the past 10 years, I have held roles as an auditor, financial reporting manager, energy commodity risk manager, business manager for a global trading operation, and lastly as a natural gas trader. My departure from the world of big business is fueled by a desire to do something that actually makes a positive contribution to society. While I am developing these plans, tutoring students in need of assistance seems to be a rewarding way to earn extra income.
I have an innate ability to relate subject matter to the individual's everyday life. That is how I taught as a T.A. while at Georgia Tech, and that is how I have taught concepts to my employees over the years.
My areas of expertise obviously include most financially-focused collegiate coursework, but I am also able to assist with grade-school level math. I am great with children, and very persistent with adolescents and adults. I will find out how to motivate you or your child.
