Before locating to Austin, Texas, I served as a Special Adviser to a UN Ambassador at the United Nations in New York City. I have published poetry and articles on early American history and have extensive knowledge and understanding of multilateral diplomacy, international relations and world geography. Additionally, I have helped students from around the world gain successful admission to university and graduate school.

Having lived in Japan, Turkey, Hawaii, Iran, China and Saudi Arabia, I have taught ESL students from Japan, Korea, China, Tahiti, France, Spain, Mexico, Taiwan, the Philippines, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Vietnam, Samoa, Micronesia, Brazil and Argentina.

I embrace cultural differences and the difficulty of mastering a second language.

I am a native speaker of English and completed my graduate studies at the University of Hawaii with a Master’s Degree in ESL/Applied Linguistics. Earlier I lived in Japan and completed an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, History and Asian Studies at Sophia University in Tokyo.

American History

I have an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from a well known Japanese University where I minored in history and literature. I have a Master's Degree in English as a Second Language from the University of Hawaii and taught college preparation and study skills classes overseas and in the USA. I have helped students from Japan, Korea, China, Tahiti, Samoa, France, Spain, Mexico, South America, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.

I have lived overseas over thirty years in the Far East and Middle East. I have helped students improve their study skills in addition to reading, writing, speaking and TOEFL scores.

For the past three years, I have worked at the United Nations and have mentored graduate level interns at the United Nations and have conducted numerous workshops on multilateral diplomacy, the workings of the United Nations and the Security Council.

I am a published author specializing in American History with an emphasis on Colonial History and the founding of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. My interests are the Anglo-American Democratic Tradition, Human Rights, the Stuart Period in English History. I also am well read and interested in Asian history and traditions (India, China and Japan).
