This is my 17th year tutoring. I am familiar with the tricky areas associated with the subjects I teach, and ways to rapidly improve skills. Students are sometimes surprised that challenging problems can be broken down into smaller steps, and that you CAN actually study for math tests ... by doing practice problems.

My specialties include Algebra I & II, Geometry, Middle School Math and Science, Elementary School Reading & Math, and Study Skills. My qualifications include a master's degree in Education, with a 4.0 GPA, and over 10 years of classroom teaching experience.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a certified Elementary Education teacher with a Masters Degree in Education. I have 10 years of experience teaching 6th grade as well as several years with various grades such as third, fourth and pre-school. I am familiar with Developmental Learning, how children think at different ages, as well as planning for more effective and efficient learning.

Drawing

Observational drawing can be learned through spacial techniques, focusing on specific things the eye sees, as well as lots of practice. I have taught students to draw by setting up displays and working on perspective, dimensions and the gridding of the human form (8 and 1/2 heads high).
