Hello! Thank you for taking a moment to read my description.
I am a seasoned accountant who recently moved to Austin from Los Angeles. I am also in the process of transferring my CPA license to Texas.
I started my career in accounting at the age of 12 by doing the bookkeeping for my family's business, worked my way through college doing (can you guess?) various entry level accounting positions, in different types of industries. I earned my CPA while working in public accounting where I implemented the Agency's IT consulting division. I am proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. I have worked with several accounting including, but not limited to, MIP (Sage), Platinum, QuickBooks, One Write Plus with working knowledge of Great Plains and ACCPAC.
Throughout my career I have taught and trained several individuals. First as an instructor in Auditing and Accounting at the school where I earned my Associates Degree; later, I mentored/developed many people in their career paths, skill development and knowledge. I have also developed and provided trainings for organizations and Boards of Directors.
My methods of instruction vary based upon the subject matter and the audience. But what I can tell you is that I'm patient and enjoy bringing humor to learning. I believe learning is what keeps our minds fresh & hearts young.
