I am willing to tutor High School or College students who are in need of assistance with a class. As a Work Study job in college, I was a tutor at Bridgewater State College for Physics, Calculus, Basic programming students. While I attended Northeastern University students were referred to me by the Continuing Education office and I was a tutor for Algebra, Differential Equations, Calculus, Physics, and Fortran students. I am willing to meet students in their most effective learning environment (home, school, coffee shop, etc). A 24 hour cancellation notice is acceptable else there is a 50% penalty for cancelling within the 24 hour window.

I am the President of my HOA and in the past few years I have performed volunteer work for Junior Achievement in a local Elementary school and I was a volunteer Algebra mentor for Austin Partners in Education. I have been an Engineer (Hardware design, Application support, Product Marketing) for over 25 years and I have always done my best to pass along my knowledge and experience as best I can. I will not complete your homework for you but I will ask leading questions and assist you to find the solution and, if needed, provide study tips to prepare for exams.

Algebra 1

I studied Algebra 1 in middle school and high school. I was a Mathematics Major at Bridgewater State College where I studied more advanced algebra courses; one was Linear Algebra. I was a Math tutor for Northeastern University's Adult Education Center for many years during and after I graduated with a BSEE.

Algebra 2

I was a B student in middle school/high school Algebra and I was a Mathematics Major for two years before switching Majors to Electrical Engineering. I have helped many college students with Algebra courses. Some students needed help understanding the concepts and how to setup solutions for problems. Other students needed my help preparing for Mid-term or Final Exams.

Calculus

I was an AP Calculus student for my Senior year in High School and managed a B grade for the year. I placed out of the first year of Calculus in college and managed an A in the second year of Calculus while I was a Mathematics major at Bridgewater State College. I have tutored College students for all the different classes of Calculus.

Geometry

I was a Geometry student in high school and found it challenging. I have applied what I learned in Geometry class to real life situations. I have tutored High School and College students in many different subjects over the years.

Prealgebra

I studied Prealgebra in middle school during 7th grade. I initially needed help after school from the teacher with grasping the topics but once I caught on I never looked back. I was a Math major for two years but decided I wanted to pursue a career in Engineering. The Math background was very useful in solving problems.

Precalculus

I was a B student in High school PreCalculus. I took AP Calculus as a senior in High School and was able to receive college credits for Calculus 1, 2, & 3.

Trigonometry

I completed Trigonometry in High School with a B average. Trigonometry is applicable for Physics problems and I have tutored College students in Physics, Computer Science, and various mathematics subjects.

SAT Math

I took the SAT test multiple times in order to improve my score and I can help you to do the same. I can help you prepare for the Mathematics portion of the exam and can also help explain the methods to improve your score.

GMAT

I am an excellent math tutor who can help any student who requires assistance with the math portion of the GMAT test.

ACT Math

If you need help preparing for the ACT test and only desire assistance with the mathematics portion of the exam then I can help you prepare for the exam by assisting you to study for the Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry questions.

Differential Equations

I received an A grade in Differential Equations at Bridgewater State College.

I received an A grade in MATH ANAL at Northeastern University and tutored classmates.

After graduation I would tutor students upon request.

Fortran

I received an B grade in Intro Computer Scince (Basic programming) at Bridgewater State College and the teacher arranged for me to be a tutor to another struggling student.

I received an A- grade in ENGCOMPUTERS (Fortran programming) at Northeastern University and tutored students upon request.

I have been an 8051 Assembly Language programmer as an Engineer.

Electrical Engineering

I have a BSEE degree from Northeastern University and my Engineering CUM was a 3.0 with a total CUM of 2.86.
