Regarding Writing and Reading, I am appreciative and creative, and like to encourage others to be so also. It is my conviction that Language can and ought to be artistic, and so I pursue artful uses. This means reading artfully as well as writing creatively, i.e., with newness and freshness and confidence.
Guiding others in order to help them in reaching their own understanding of anything is the best thing that I or anybody else can do; this philosophy guides my teaching strategy. I strive to encourage learners to create their own proper ways of interpreting and expressing ideas, and texts and to feel sure of their own senses. The horizons of the language are always widening, and with them the culture, and I believe that everybody using the language can further this expanding by taking their own tack in so doing.
I was a student of English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Hull in Kingston-upon-Hull, UK, from 2006-2009, and held an International Student Scholarship from 2007-2009. I took my BA with High Honors, near the head of both departments of my joint course, and will happily provide references from my instructors upon request.
