I simply appreciate the opportunity to help other people improve academically. My experience as tutor involves close to five years of tutoring in New York City and Austin, TX. This, having started the position right after graduating from college, has exposed me to students from various backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities, all essential in the effort to impart knowledge. I have enjoyed bettering the academic abilities of my students.

Regarding my approach to tutoring, I do so, at all times, with the student's goals in mind, simply seeking the best possible means of getting the student to understand the concept, idea, process, or the material at hand, while fully accounting for the student's unique personality, or way of learning. When that’s achieved, the student’s goals, whatever they may be, is within reach.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Accounting

Accounting simply works by principles, and the accurate application of those principles is what betters a students ability at the subject. My job is to help you understand these principles and to properly apply them in solving the question at hand, and I do this bearing in mind the student's unique way of learning. It's the golden rule!

ESL/ESOL

The English Language is not very difficult to pick up (learn) if you pay attention, and are willing to put in some time to practice it--both in writing and speaking.

It has been my favorite language for over 20 years, and I have over 4 years of tutoring English in New York City's Bronx borough, where I saw and helped address the struggles of most ESL students with the language: I can help you.
