Hello, I am a recent magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Texas. I earned a BA majoring in English and I have a Teaching Certificate in Language Arts grades 8-12 and Generalist grades EC-6. Currently, I volunteer-teach an ESL class and am a substitute teacher for my local ISD.
My student teaching experience includes teaching English II Pre-AP and English II at our local high school. Furthermore, I raised ten children (yes, I said 10!), home schooled, and have eleven years experience teaching Sunday school, EC through second grade. As you can see, I like children and three years ago realized by dream of returning to school to pursue a teaching degree. I have a passion for teaching and I want to be a part of a successful learning experience.
My tutoring experience is with all age groups from first grade through college graduate level. I enjoy helping students who are just beginning their school journey as well as those who are trying to finish that journey. I also love teaching English to many ESL students.
