Hello!

My name is Wilhelmina and I am looking to help as a tutor in either reteaching or test prep. I am certified in Language Arts K-8 and Special Education K-12. I have been an instructor for 13 years, currently work with 7th and 8th graders in English and reading as well as grade recovery - all subjects. I am able to break down difficult components for better understanding, create strategies based on a student's weakness, and develop study skills.

I am also able to adapt my instruction to adults who may need additional help in areas not previously developed.

I also tutor after school for 1 hour a week in various subjects such as math, history, and science for the past 3 years. I am computer proficient and can assist anyone looking to develop their skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,or Excel.

Reading

I am certified in language arts K-8 and have 13 years as a special ed instructor in reading and English dealing with levels from 2nd to 8th grade.

Working with students who not only have learning disabilities but come from either Spanish-speaking and even Asian homes, has exposed me to the problems they face and allowed me to develop strategies to help them be successful in spite of multiple challenges.
