Learning to do bookkeeping in Quickbooks is a lot more involved that many people think. Understanding what's going on and why it's going on is as important to operating Quickbooks properly as learning the software. It is very easy to make mistakes in your bookkeeping without this understanding and a mistake to believe the software will automatically "take care of things" if you don't understand what it's doing.
When I teach you how to operate Quickbooks properly I also teach you WHY Quickbooks is doing what it's doing with the information you put into it. (Or should I say Intuit?) Sorry...couldn't help myself.... At any rate, I then show you where the information comes out in the form of a report. If you understand how data flows through Quickbooks as a bookkeeping system in addition to learning the software you will have much better results when you keep your books than just learning the software itself.
Most people who use Quickbooks without this understanding make a big mess and only end up with a glorified check book instead of a bookkeeping system. It's not hard to learn if you learn it correctly right from the start. It's a very important skill if you are going to have a business since, ultimately, when your are successful, you will have a bookkeeper (like me) doing the bookkeeping for you and being able to know if they are doing a good job will make you that much more successful.
Don't skimp on your learning because you are the boss....right? Sign up for my class today.
And yes....if you've already made a mess I can help you clean it up and teach you the right way...So sign up now!

80% of every business is the same - Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Management. Only 20% of each business is industry specific or specific to a particular business.
Most business people are proficient in one of these areas but need to understand all of them if they are to run, manage, own or promote a business for themselves or others.
Teaching the inter-relationship of each of these areas is necessary for business plans and the successful operation of a business.
I owned and operated a successful outsourced bookkeeping firm and tax service for 15 years with a staff of 12 handling the outsourced bookkeeping function for 30 businesses with combined annual sales of over $125 million, along with consulting these and other businesses on how to improve operations. With a BBA in Management and Marketing and 15 years, searching, finding, negotiating, purchasing, running and marketing and business planning, I am qualified to consult with people needing to know various aspects of this/these processes.
Marketing's sole purpose is to increase business. If it fails that mission, it's not marketing, its just talk. Yo quierdo Taco Bell is one of the most remembered, cute, expensive marketing failures. Why? It failed to increase Taco Bell sales at all. People buy because they are in the market AND you have what they want. Everyone isn't your market. Who are they, where are they, what are their "hot buttons" that show that you have what they want compared to competition. Marketing is about message, targeting, and the offer to get them to take some kind of action in the direction of the sale. Learning this properly will succeed in getting people to take action to buy. Fail to do this properly and all you have is a cute commercial that motivates no one to do anything. As a 1982 graduate with a BBA in marketing and Business management and a successful owner of a business that doubled its revenue in three years, I'm a good trainer, marketing analyst, coach, and consultant for people wanting to learn effective marketing.

It will not make them tax advisers but will help them become tax preparers which is an ongoing process of learning over time.
