French is my native language and Astrophysics my passion. I have been volunteering at several organization, at church, schools, to friends and my family as a French and Astronomy tutor. My goal is to help anyone who thinks that language and science are complicated to become the genius in what they before believed was impossible.
I am one of those who had hard time understanding complicated scientific concept and grammar rules. Until today I am struggling with them. But at some point I got fed up of not being able to speak like a genius or understand what some other people seemed to understand. Not a long ago I decided to figure out a way to find better explanation to anything I wanted to learn. By doing a lot of research of self teaching, I had to pick interested topic to keep myself efficient enough and consistent as well. One day in my astronomy class I took at the University of Texas at Arlington, we had a group project in which we were supposed to pick any non profit organization and teach a group of children any topic in astronomy. That day, in order for me to do the job as nicely and close to perfection as I wanted to, I decided to break it down for myself.
The day I had my first opportunity to teach the kids from the age 9 to 12 at Boys and Girls Club, I had a revelation. I realized that a lot of people especially children are struggling with what seems to be complicated concepts and materials to learn. By making it easy for them using their own language you actually open vast door for those hidden smart children. In the meantime, even though I decided to make sure nobody would find out that I was also learning as they were, I can't explain how and why but I had this way of quickly figuring out the answers I didn't know before to a lot of questions the children were asking. Since then, my life has changed and I'm not trying to just teach somebody but my concept is to use a system that allows all of us to become a student. So no teacher-student concept but Student teaching-learning is my magic formula
