My first and primary focus is to synchronize with the student's learning style. My desired outcome is achieving specific skill mastery in the subject vs a mere dumping of content.
My method used is tapping into intrinsic motivation with the goal of unleashing a personal passion and sustained interest for the subject being presented.
I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the subjects I offer. I have been professional photographer for 17 years and have a strong background in Photoshop, Lightroom and Elements. I have used my photography for personal and commercial design for 10 years. I currently have a line of greeting cards designs being considered by a major retail outlet. I have co-authored a coffee table book using my photography.
I served as youth pastor and speaker for 13 years. I transitioned to an associate teaching/preaching pastor serving in that capacity for 10 years. I have written, lead and taught Bible studies and have a strong grasp on religious topics/issues. I have a 5 year BA degree in Bible, with a minor in Christian Education.
I have had an interest and passion for theatre since elementary school. My experience includes acting, writing, directing and personal coaching for numerous plays, short skits and full stage productions.
I am an avid student of US History. It has been my joy to travel much of our great country to photograph key historical sites and capture the stories that make America great. I love to travel abroad as well. It has been my pleasure to visit Italy twice with an emphasis on Rome and Pompei.
I hope you can see from what I have written how I have a passion for learning and teaching. With that passion comes a responsibility to pass on what has been given to me. My learning has come from through formal education and a constant evaluation of my life experience. It would be my joy to pass what I know to you in a humble, respectful and effective way.
