I hold a degree in Education with Math and Science, Region10 Alternative certification in EC-6grade, and also have an elementary certification from American Montessori Society (AMS) I have been working in a Montessori school in Dallas for the past10 years, and tutoring elementary age children in all core subjects,
As a well-rounded educator, I have had the chance to teach a diverse group of students including those who were challenged by learning disabilities, non-compliant behavior, and speech impairment as well as children who functioned on and above grade level. I motivate and encourage student learning by giving them positive learning experiences. I ensure my students master the required skills and get successful. I believe children need the support of good teacher who can understand them and relate to their problems and needs. Children need to be motivated to learn. I help my students learn how to think, ask questions and solve problems. I teach them the ability and the confidence they need to succeed. My way of teaching impact my students' thinking and learning. I believe I have the knowledge, skills to convey the knowledge, making the material I am teaching interesting and relevant for my students and also a deep seated respect for my students.
