My profile title is exactly the type of tutor I am. The process of learning is heavily dependent upon the teacher. The teaching style of a tutor is what can influence whether the student ends up liking the subject or not. I completely understand the needs and worries a student faces. Whether it's tackling the pressure day before an exam or learning how to ace a unit test from the start, I'll be there to support my students all the way!
During high school, I used to tutor all my friends in various subjects and developed a love for teaching. Tutoring doesn't mean teaching the facts and figures required to pass the upcoming exam rather, it's to understand the fundamental concepts the subject is built on. Once you are clear with the fundamentals, you can move on to higher concepts. I've been tutoring my family and friends from the past 4 years in math, physics, chemistry, ACT, and SAT.
I am extremely patient with anyone I teach and encourage students to face the subjects they fear the most. Many times, when you work towards your weaknesses, they become your greatest strengths. This is true for education as well. I will work with students till they completely understand the subject and in the process will teach in a manner that will entice curiosity and interest towards their studies.
