My name is Dr. Larry. I have taught and tutored low level math courses, physical science, and various types of chemistry courses. Places taught include public schools, community colleges, state colleges, and universities. It has been my privilege to work with young people for many years helping them prepare for success in their education. Chemistry has been a challenge for many students, and I have been very satisfied being able to help them reach their goals. The study of chemistry can be very rewarding for you as it has been for me. I am a retired excellent school teacher and if you need help let me help you.

Algebra 1

The course starts out with a quick review of basic math and then jumps into the number line. The course proceeds through basic math and progresses up though an in introduction to solving the quadratic equation and an introduction to systems of equations.

Chemistry

General chemistry is a study of matter and it interaction. It includes an introduction to atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, reactions and discussion of oxygen and hydrogen and chemical arithmetic. The second half of the course deals with more advanced topics such as Re-dox, thermodynamics, descriptive chemistry and an introduction to carbon chemistry.

MCAT

I have taught organic chemistry 1 and 2 for many years (15+) and bio-chemistry periodically(as needed). I have tutored many pre-med students specifically to prepare them to take the MCAT test My students had a great rate at passing the test. I believe my experience at tutoring students and teaching primarily pre-med students prepares me to tutor the MCAT.

Organic Chemistry

I have taught Organic Chemistry I & II for majors in the following schools: Tulsa Community College, Highland Community College, Northeastern State University, and Oklahoma Christian University. I have also had many years experience teaching General Chemistry I & II in the following schools: Tulsa Community College, Highland Community College, Northeastern State University and Brookhaven Community College.
