I am a lifetime learner. Graduating from high school as the salutatorian with a 4.0 GPA, I earned a B.A. in Philosophy with extensive coursework in language and literature. I attended a Lutheran seminary for two years, studying theology and Biblical languages and later earned 30 credit hours in a Master of Linguistics program focused on Teaching English as a Second Language. Additionally, I have maintained an on-going interest and study of physics, biology, and environmental sciences. I have been self-employed as a business owner/entrepreneur most of my working life in the environmental field. Having sold my business, I am now developing a teaching career. I have had extensive experience teaching, training and tutoring children and young adults on various subjects and have learned that integrating conceptualization skills with specific tasks and experiences leads to the greatest success and enjoyment of learning.
