I am a Chemistry and Mathematics major at Dyersburg State Community College. As a student myself, I know that we often need one-on-one help to understand everything that the instructors throw at us. I love tutoring my fellow students, and frequently receive compliments for being easily understood. Over the years, I've found that so many students don't realize the fullness of their academic potential, so I do my best to try to help them see it.

My tutoring experience started years ago when I began helping my younger brother with his Algebra when I first started college. As time went on, I started tutoring my classmates in Chemistry and Math, and it wasn't long before I landed a job as a tutor for my college. I eventually resigned, and decided to tutor students independently.

When I tutor people, I make it a point to quickly find exactly what area the student is struggling, and help him or her to understand it as quickly and as thoroughly as possible.

I can tutor General Chemistry 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, mental and pen-and-paper Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and most of Algebra 2. My strongest skills are Organic Chemistry and mental Arithmetic. In order for the lesson to be most effective, I recommend that the student or the student's parent list the areas I will be covering (e.g. fractions, matrices, polynomials, factoring etc...) in the tutoring session so I can be fully prepared.

There are a number of ways I can tutor people: I can tutor at almost any location, including my home, the student's home, or a public location, such as coffee shops, colleges, and libraries. I am also skilled at tutoring people via telephone, which is more convenient for some people, and can be just as effective as tutoring face-to-face.

I am available for tutoring on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays with few exceptions. In the event that a tutoring session must be cancelled, I prefer the student or Parent contact me with notice of cancellation 12 or more hours in advance, and require notice at least two hours in advance. However, in most cases, I will offer a make-up session when I can. If you have any questions, send me a message and I'll respond very quickly.

Thank you!
