I am a 45 year old grandmother with many years of experience working with children. I am currently a senior college student working toward a BS in Psychology. I hold a 3.8 cumulative GPA and I have been nominated into the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. Additionally, I have experience working with other students in helping them achieve their goals. I am patient and friendly, and I enjoy helping others. When I tutor, I will show the student the traditional method as well as an alternative method to give him or her an advantage. When I work with children, I try to find their learning style so that we can work together in a way that helps them learn easier as well as, retain the material. When I work with teens or adults, I help them find their learning style as well. Whether it is auditory, sight, kinesthetic, or a combination, we work together to find the best fit for easier learning.

As a college student, I was required to use Microsoft Word. Over the last few years, I learned it well. I have experience with MS Word 2003 and 2007, and I am currently learning MS Word 2010.

Writing

I have four years of experience writing college term papers with a 3.8 GPA. Additionally, I was an editor for a local newspaper.

English

I have strong English, spelling, and grammar skills. I have experience with AP format, as well as APA.

Psychology

I am psychology student in my senior year. I have completed many psychology courses including, cognitive psychology, child and adolescent psychology, psychological research, history, child development, and many others.

Proofreading

As a college student required to write multiple papers, proofreading is one of my strong skills. Additionally, I was a copy editor and transcriptionist for a local newspaper.

Elementary (K-6th)

Not only have I raised three children, but I currently help tutor my grandchildren enrolled in elementary school. Additionally, I work with children in a daycare setting on a part-time basis. English, spelling, grammar, science, reading, and writing are my strong subjects.

The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
