History, Spanish, Bible, and some Math

I have a teaching degree in history. I have tutored numerous students in my youth group for the past 5 years. My method of tutoring involves helping students find their own answers through finding what makes the subject come alive to them. It is important that in tutoring one helps the student progress at their own level. I have come to realize that each and every student is unique in their own way. I strive to make sure that my tutoring style fits that persons personality. I make sure that I fit the style of tutoring to that personality.

I am flexible when it comes to times and locations that we meet. I make sure that I don't just do the work for the student, but I encourage them and help them in the process of figuring out the answer. I also make sure to encourage the student because we all need a little encouragement. I want to make sure that I help the student not hurt them.
