I have been teaching Anatomy and Physiology labs since I took the classes at SDSU. Dr. Pedersen and Dr. Kayongo-Male increased my interest in those subjects, and my enthusiasm for these subjects has helped me settle on the path of becoming a physician. I have helped students in both classes every semester since.
I have also tutored students taking Calculus 1, Pre-Calc, Trig, and Algebra. I love Trigonometry, especially proving Trig identities.
I have had awesome responses from my past students, so positive in fact that they seem to think I am able to teach them material when we are in the same class. I love teaching, and love the feeling I get when I see the light come on and their face light up. That is the greatest satisfaction I get from teaching or tutoring. When I become a physician, I hope to bring my abilities in teaching with me. I wish to help educate people on how to care for themselves better, and improve the overall health-care in the U.S.
I love tutoring, and bring a lot of energy to the classroom. An example of how I attempt to teach is shown in the movie "School of Life". I attempt to energize the classroom to keep students engaged in the material, and it has worked very well.
