Greetings & Salutations,
I have been teaching English Language Arts in a Middle School setting for the past 4 years. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Special Needs Students. Currently, I am certified to teach grades K-8. With a plethora of teaching strategies, I have been able to assist and teach my students the necessary skills they need to be successful.
For several years during my academic studies to become a teacher, I volunteered for the America Reads Program which enabled me to do colorful and innovative read aloud to inspire and demonstrate what good reading sounds like. It was during this time that I was inspired to join the volunteer team at the Greater Columbia Literacy Council to assist young adults and grown-ups to prepare for their GED exams.
Over the years I have tutored with several tutoring organizations and I am confident that I can assist any child that is having trouble in the areas of reading, comprehension, and writing skills.
It is to this end that I have dedicated myself to the teaching profession using my knowledge and caring personality to assist, mentor, tutor, and educate not only children, but also adults to develop a “can do” attitude towards themselves, their goals, and their schoolwork.
