Ever since I was young I wanted to be a teacher. Well now that I am older, I am in college getting that degree. In the past I have done multiple job shadowing days in classrooms. Also, during my senior year of high school I was given the opportunity to actually go into a classroom and help teach. I helped a reading remedial class that dealt with kids learning to read in a better way and also helped them with math problems. I had experience with kindergarten up to fourth grade. I also had the chance to work with a first grade physical education class.
Along with that in-class experience, this past summer I was a tutor for a lady from the Ukraine who was taking classes at USC to learn better English, and that was a great experience.
I am currently at Spartanburg Methodist College. I have been on the dean's list every semester I have been here. My first year of college I ended up with a 3.6 overall GPA and I am planning on graduating in May with my associates in arts. While attending school I am also a part of the volleyball team here at SMC!
