I've always had a problem with having too many interests. I've never been able to narrow it down. I love playing cello, and am only a few credits away from a music major. I also have a great fascination with American History. But my real passion (and major) in college was English literature. Carrying on this passion to the real world, I joined Peace Corps and moved to Ukraine for two years to teach others English as a foreign language. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
