I have been involved in education, through IBM (as an editor, author, or consultant), or through teaching (five years in NY and seven years in SC as a teacher of mathematics, department chairperson of mathematics, or k-12 mathematics supervisor), for a total of over 30 years. I have a BA in mathematics (UNH), a MS in mathematics (Fordham University), a PhD in mathematics education (Northwestern U), and an executive MBA from (IBM/Harvard U). Additionally, I have taken courses in education, educational technology, or mathematics from IIT, LIU, Adelphi U, Coastal Carolina U, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Francis Marion U, USC, and Furman U.

I love teaching and especially tutoring (for the opportunity of one-on-one teaching). Additionally, I love mathematics. In that regard, I have edited, authored, or produced mathematics education materials; done years of statistical analysis, and applied mathematics in every job I have had. I endeavor to give each student the benefit of this background in mathematics and education.

My teaching style is to dig into each students difficulties, help each one understand his/her problems, help them eliminate the problems, and to push on with success.

I always try for results as exhibited by the following:

"I thought you would like to know I just completed my MSN and MHA. I couldn't have succeed without your help. Patrick and I still speak of you and our time together. I will be eternally grateful." - former student

Exceptional I am pleased to take this opportunity to write a glowing referral for Dr. C. He is a true teaching professional. His willingness to work with my son was greatly appreciated, especially since my mathematical abilities have severely diminished. Over the past summer, Mr. C. tutored my 16 year old in advanced Trig and Pre Calculus. He immediately identified my son’s weaknesses and put together an e ...
