ACT Math
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education and I have taught mathematics in different levels: grade school, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. I have taught different mathematics subjects like basic mathematics, pre-algebra, Algebra, Geometry-plane, solid, and analytic, Number Theory, Finite Math, business math, Trigonometry, pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Probability and Statistics, among others. I have been helping students with ACT test for the past five years.
Algebra 1
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. Algebra 1 provides the building blocks of all Mathematical concepts needed in higher mathematics. In Algebra, operations are carried out on symbols that stand for numbers. I have the expertise and qualifications to make students understand and make sense of mathematics through these symbols.
Algebra 2
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. Algebra 2 is one of my favorite subjects to teach. Topics include equations, inequalities and their graphs, functions, i.e., linear, quadratic, polynomial, radical, rational, exponential and logarithmic, and their graphs, sequences and series, probability and statistics, matrices, and a little of periodic functions and trigonometry. All these lessons need to be mastered to get to higher mathematics like calculus.
Discrete Math
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. I have taught and been teaching Discrete math for several years both in high school and in college. Discrete Math is an interesting subject to learn for it includes lessons on set theory, graph theory, number theory and the real number system, numeration systems, consumer mathematics, counting methods and probability, and descriptive statistics. I have always enjoyed teaching discrete mathematics.
Elementary (K-6th)
I have taught 2nd grade to 6th grade for 5 years in the Philippines. I also have taught 4th grade in Japan for 2 years while taking my Ph. D. Part of my Ph. D. program was to compare the mathematics curriculum in the elementary grades of Japan, U.S., Singapore, and Philippines. And while comparing, I studied and published articles in international refereed journals about the common difficulties of teaching and learning mathematics in the elementary grades. I was a teacher trainer of mathematics elementary teachers for 7 years.
Elementary Math
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. I have taught in the elementary and have been tutoring elementary students for several years. When I was in the doctorate program, I had the chance to observe elementary classes for 2 years. I was also a teacher trainer for elementary mathematics teachers for over 5 years. I studied and wrote an article that was published in an international refereed journal about the common difficulties of elementary students in learning mathematics.
Geometry
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. I have taught both Geometry Honors and CP. In college, I have also taught plane, solid, and analytic geometry. Geometry is where you deal with points, lines, angles, different shapes and their characteristics, relationships, and similarities. It also includes transformations, surface area and volume of solids, and some trigonometry.
Linear Algebra
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education and I have taught mathematics in different levels: grade school, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. One of the subjects that I taught for several years both in high school and in college is Linear Algebra. It's one of my favorite subjects to teach.
Logic
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education.
As B.S. graduate, I took a lot of logic subjects in college. Also, I taught a math subject in one of the local colleges in Columbia and logic is part of that course. I enjoyed teaching the subject and I am positive my students enjoyed and understand the materials also.
Praxis
I have a Ph.D. in mathematics. I have been teaching for almost 20 years. I have taken and passed all the Praxis examinations required for teaching certification. I have Alabama and South Carolina teaching certifications.
Prealgebra
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education and I have taught mathematics in different levels: grade school, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. I have studied the mathematics curriculum from elementary to high school. I have taught prealgebra in the middle school and know the curriculum by heart.
Precalculus
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. Teaching Precalculus honors is one of my favorite subjects to teach. It's a step below learning the calculus. It includes topics like exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions and their graphs, analytic trigonometry, applications of trigonometric functions, polar coordinates and vectors, conics, and a preview of calculus: limit, derivative, and integral of a function.
SAT Math
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education and I have taught mathematics in different levels: grade school, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school. I have taught different mathematics subjects like basic mathematics, pre-algebra, Algebra, Geometry-plane, solid, and analytic, Number Theory, Finite Math, business math, Trigonometry, pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Probability and Statistics, among others. For more than five years already, I have been helping students, giving them review in class and outside the classroom on SAT topics/lessons.
Trigonometry
I have been a mathematics teacher for 20 years. I have a Ph. D. in Mathematics education. I have taught trigonometry both in high school and in college. It is a very interesting subject for it studies the ratios between the sides of right triangles, the relations of these ratios and the application of these facts in finding the unknown part/s of any triangle.
