Hello! I am a math teacher, certified in the state of South Carolina to teach mathematics in grades 5-12. My favorite math to teach is algebra 2. I have taught 7th grade general math, prealgebra, algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2 and probability and statistics. I feel comfortable tutoring in any of these areas, however I do prefer algebra 2. I have been teaching for six years and have been tutoring as long as I have been teaching. My tutoring experience includes all specific math areas in which I have taught as well as precalculus and calculus. I love teaching and I love helping students see a purpose in what they are learning, as well as that "a-ha" moment when I know that I have explained a concept in a way that they understood! I look forward to teaching and helping you!

Algebra 1

I have experience in algebra 1 in high school and 8th grade elementary algebra for the state of SC. This course covers the following: operations involving the real number system (exponents, matrices, and algebraic expressions), functions, writing and solving linear equations and inequalities and understanding their graphs, quadratic relationships and functions.

I have taught algebra 1 in high school, and I also have experience with pre-algebra at the middle school level.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is called intermediate algebra in SC and typically follows geometry. Intermediate algebra covers functions, systems of equations and inequalities, quadratic equations, complex numbers, conic sections, sequences and series, and logarithmic relationships. I taught algebra 2 for two years and it is my favorite math.
