It is my belief that every child should be afforded high quality learning opportunities that are interesting, responsive to their real life, and packed with chances to acquire and apply knowledge that they will utilize today and in the future. As a high school teacher, I developed a fun, down-to-earth approach to school and learning. I have found even the hardest topics can be made easier if they're personalized and made relevant to young adults. As a student, I struggled for many years to get the grades I wanted. With persistence, I ended up graduating top of my high school class, earning full scholarship to Providence College, and ultimately graduating from Harvard Graduate School of Education. My teaching strategies mirror those that helped me move from Special Ed to Ivy League.
