I am a transplant from Illinois to Rhode Island. My background has prepared me to fulfill expectations you would hope for in a caring, patient, thorough, innovative, creative English/Spanish bilingual teacher/trainer/tutor with a strong work ethic. I am comfortable working with a range of age groups from preschool-age children to college students to administrators and corporate personnel. I am able to work with anyone whether their first language is English or Spanish, also those ESL/ELL students desiring to learn English as their second language. My work history has enabled me to work in multicultural environments, in large or small group settings and in one-on-one tutoring scenarios.
My approach toward teaching has proven successful: coming down to the student's level and breaking things down into manageable parts from A-Z, step by step, whatever the subject, whether academic subjects, language or dance. I believe the best teachers/tutors remain teachable and lifelong learners themselves. Oftentimes I have found that I have learned as much from my students as they have learned from me! I look forward to meeting and working with you!
