I graduated from high school as Valedictorian in 2004 and graduated with a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. I love math, and can teach math at all levels up to Calculus III. This includes Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II, and III. In my degree I had extensive experience using all levels of math, and I successfully tutored people in math throughout high school and college. I am also available to tutor science in the areas of biology and physiology. I have taken a physiology course that covered several systems of the human body and how it works, I have written extensive reports on the subject, and I did extremely well in the class. I have excellent writing skills that have been developed throughout my years of schooling, and would be willing to tutor someone in English as well. This includes areas of report/essay writing as well as literature classes. I have some knowledge of Spanish, as I took 4 years of it in high school and received a grade of 3 on the AP exam. Though I am not a proficient speaker, I may be of some assistance to someone who may have attended a Spanish-speaking school or has trouble communicating with non-English speakers.
I love teaching new information to people in ways that make things easy to remember. I have tutored throughout high school and college, and I am willing to move at whatever pace that makes the student comfortable; the important thing is that the correct information is learned and absorbed. I try to communicate my love of learning with those I tutor, and I hope it rubs off onto the students. Due to my experience level, I am looking for high school or college level students to tutor in the subjects above. If chosen as your tutor, I will make sure you learn the concepts and have a greater understanding of the applications.
