Illustrator is a program I have been using for 5 1/2 years. While I am no guru and still having working knowledge of the program, I can take your graphic design needs up to a different level. I can explain the interface, what most menu items do, create intricate graphics, use it to clean up and/or create .dwg (CAD) drawings/files, and much more.
With a little over 4 years of InDesign experience I have a wide range of knowledge of the program. I have created 2 small books for school projects and 2 lengthy portfolios of my architectural designs. I can teach you everything from the basics of setting up documents to the final stages of printing and final putout. Once I teach you InDesign you will prefer it for most, if not all, of your document and word processing needs.
I have 5 1/2 years of experience with Photoshop and am quite proficient at it. I have used it to clean up many renderings and photos. I have also used it to create new graphics, but as any person who has used Photoshop extensively would agree, the program is much more powerful and efficient at editing already existing images. Creating images should be left to Adobe Illustrator, for the most part. I can teach you the do's and don'ts of the program, as well, such as the best way to use text and have it print out with original intent; Photoshop text is notoriously known to not be up to par with other programs.
Architecture has always been my passion. I graduated from Norwich University with a BS in Architectural Studies and am planning to go to grad school and obtain a Master of Architecture. Being that my educational route was pre-professional and is a Science degree means that I can also touch upon the mechanical aspects of the built environment. Aspects such as loads, stresses, structure, and active building systems like HVAC. I have been awarded Best of Show for my project NU Architectural Hall and it was used for the schools NAAB Accreditation meeting. I was also chosen in the top 5 from a class of 22 students to present my proposal for a town planning project called "Re-Imagining Shelburne Road - 4our Districts." To supplement my degree I also have an Art minor with several courses of Art history and Art classes.
I only have about 6 months of AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD under my belt. Within this time, I familiarized myself with the interface, created static blocks, and worked on both 3D and 2D projects. I also created and cleaned up plans, elevations, and section drawings. Overall, I can teach you from the basics to an intermediate level of help.
Drawing has always been a passion of mine. I have been doing it for as long as I can remember. I have taken many art classes throughout my life to refine my drawings skills/techniques. Coupling that, during my time as at Norwich University I majored in Architectural Studies and minored in Art further enhancing my ability. I have drawn everything from still lives, to portraits, to cartoons. I carry a diverse range of media to get the best picture put out. Everything from graphite, to ink, to colored pencils (usually to add texture), to watercolors, to painting.
I currently hold an English Minor and during my time at Norwich was published in the yearly student book the Chameleon for a mixed media Art and Writing representation of self struggles of immigrants. It won first place for the Art aspects. I have taken Creative writing classes, Advanced Composition, Film Analysis, World Literature, and much more.
Revit is a very powerful, reliable, and useful BIM program. With just about 2 years experience with the program I can teach you the basics of setting up your project to the more enhanced and refined techniques of rendering and setting up your sheets for final putout.
I love writing. It is a great way to get your thoughts out and let people know what you are thinking or how you are feeling. I have had much practice with this subject and appreciate a well writing essay, story, article, etc. I wasn't just given an English minor, I had to earn it.
