Algebra 2
I studied mathematics and additional mathematics for my UK GCSE exams where algebra was covered extensively. I received A*s in both of these classes (highest scores). I then studied mathematics and further mathematics for my UK A levels (similar to US AP exams) where further topics in algebra were covered. I received As in both of these classes (also highest scores).
I also studied mathematics at both Imperial College, London and Princeton.
I have tutored several students in algebra from local Providence schools and farther afield.
Calculus
Having studied mathematics at a variety of levels (high school and college) and institutions (Princeton and Imperial College, London) I'm very comfortable with calculus. I can tutor students in any form of calculus from high school, to AP (either AB or BC), to college.
I've tutored calculus, AP AB Calculus, AP BC Calculus, Calc I, Calc II to students at local Providence schools and colleges with much success.
Chemistry
I studied chemistry for my UK A levels (similar to US AP exams) and received an A (highest score).
I also took several chemistry classes at Princeton while I was an undergraduate there.
I've tutored students in both regular and AP chemistry at several schools in the Providence area.
Differential Equations
I studied A-level mathematics and further mathematics in the UK and received As in both subjects. Differential equations was one of the many advanced math topics covered on the syllabus.
I also studied mathematics at Imperial College, London for a year where I took 8 courses in pure mathematics including several that dealt with differential equations.
Finally, I studied mathematics at Princeton University where I again encountered this material. I'm very familiar with it.
Discrete Math
I studied A-level mathematics and further mathematics in the UK and received As in both subjects. Various topics in discrete mathematics such as combinatorics were covered among other advanced math topics included in the syllabus.
I also studied mathematics at Imperial College, London for a year where I took 8 courses in pure mathematics including several that dealt with discrete mathematics.
Finally, I studied mathematics at Princeton University where I again encountered this material. I'm very familiar with it.
Econometrics
I have a strong background in mathematics, including statistics and have applied this knowledge to the statistical study of economics: econometrics.
I recently tutored a Brown undergraduate in the subject and helped him better understand the mathematical underpinnings of the material.
I have also worked with several students studying business statistics which has a great deal of overlap with econometrics.
Linear Algebra
I studied A-level mathematics and further mathematics in the UK and received As in both subjects. Linear algebra was one of the many advanced math topics covered on the syllabus.
I also studied mathematics at Imperial College, London for a year where I took 8 courses in pure mathematics including Geometry and Linear Algebra.
Finally, I studied mathematics at Princeton University where I again encountered this material in a class I took with Professor Sarnak in freshman year: Honors Linear Algebra. I'm very familiar with it.
Logic
Having studied both philosophy and mathematics at advanced levels I have encountered logic from both the philosophical and mathematical perspectives a number of times.
While studying for my MA in philosophy at Virginia Tech I studied logic and received an A in the class. I'm very comfortable with the material covered in logic classes.
Physics
I received an A (maximum score) in my UK A level Physics class (similar to US AP classes) and then studied mathematics and physics at both Imperial College, London and Princeton University.
I've tutored both high school students and college students in physics and greatly enjoyed explaining and clarifying the concepts involved.
SAT Math
I scored a perfect 800 on the SAT math section when I took the test prior to going to Princeton. I find that an approach of repeatedly working through actual SAT problems and identifying the types of problems that the SAT commonly asks is the best training to do well on the test.
Statistics
I have studied statistics at a variety of levels and in a variety of contexts. I studied statistics for my UK A level mathematics and further mathematics qualifications (similar to AP exams in the US). I received As in both of these (highest scores).
I then studied the subject again in classes at both Imperial College London and Princeton University where I studied mathematics and political science.
I have tutored a number of students in different forms of statistics including statistics for psychology, statistics for business and statistics for economics.
Trigonometry
Having studied mathematics at a variety of levels up to the graduate level, trigonometry is an area within the field that I'm comfortable with.
I've tutored college students, community college students and high school students in trigonometry with excellent results.
