I recently completed my undergraduate studies in pure mathematics at Brown University. I am available as a tutor for pre-algebra, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus I, II, and III, SAT preparation, and various other standardized test preparations.
I have extensive experience tutoring a number of topics in mathematics, and enjoy the rewarding task of using my experience and knowledge to help others reach their academic potential.
I also have experience in teaching Calculus as a primary instructor, having created the curriculum, assignments and testing for the lessons. Furthermore, having maintained a strong interest in mathematics throughout my academic years has allowed me to gather a fairly decent collection of books and materials from a large range of mathematical topics, which I am very willing to put to use as a tutor. I truly do find the experience of working with students quite rewarding in itself and therefore, charge a low hourly rate in comparison to many other mathematics tutors.
Apart from my strong background in mathematics, being a student at Brown University has allowed me to garner experience in a large variety of studies outside of my area of focus. I have a strong foundation in non-mathematical fields ranging from the sciences to the humanities. I also have 5 years of experience in Spanish. Having this diverse background allows me to implement a large variety of strategies in my interactions with students, and methods of teaching. I will not only focus on simply teaching the material at hand, but will also attempt to improve the student’s analytical abilities with the insight I have obtained.
