I am a retired Professor of Engineering (Brown University for 36 years) as well as a professional forensic engineer for over 50 years. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Doctor of Science degree from MIT. I enjoy teaching and have tutored college students in Physics and engineering subjects. I have also tutored high school students in mathematics and Physics. My view of a teacher or tutor is someone capable of making the most complicated subjects simple and understandable.

Study Skills

Having taught at the college level for over 36 years and having advised undergraduate and graduate students during that same time, I have the experience necessary to teach students the study skills they need to master high school and college level technical subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering, etc.

It is not enough to be able to teach the subjects. One must also be able to teach students how to go about understanding what has been presented in class, in the terxtbooks, and in homework assignments. One must also be able to teach students how to look at examination problems, analyze the question, understand what is being sought, and then how to solve the problem.
