I tutor K-10 students. I have taught GED for 8 years. My pass rate is 100%.
I am active in the field of adult education outside of the classroom environment. In 2008, I was appointed to the Adult Education Advisory Council to the State Director of Adult Education, Rhode Island. Additionally, I was a member of the Rhode Island standard pilot program responsible for developing standards-based teaching for adult learners. I am a member of the Commission on Adult Basic Education, a registered agent for CASAS Implementation, and an assessor for the National External Diploma Program.
I enjoy and am comfortable working with learners of diverse backgrounds in both one-on-one as well as group settings. I believe in frequent communication with the learner to ensure maximum development in an approach that is both expeditious and thoughtful.
Teaching is my passion hands down. Teaching allows me to continue to participate in the learning process. I love to inspire my students, participant in their educational development and watch them receive their GED. It is my hope that students will learn skills that will enable them to develop informed attitudes, beliefs, and perspectives beyond the classroom
